About the Role

The role involves supervising and managing the Accounting Department's staff, developing and administering financial accounting management plans, and ensuring compliance with GAAP, SEC, and Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) requirements. The VP, Corporate Controller will also be responsible for the monthly and year-end financial closes, managing the external financial audit, and coordinating with the internal audit team. The successful candidate will be adept at analyzing and interpreting data, have experience with larger ERP packages, and must comply with HIPAA rules and regulations. They will also be expected to maintain oversight of key financial metrics, ensure the Accounting and Finance teams are in compliance with internal policies and regulations, and complete filings in a timely manner.The Company is seeking a VP, Corporate Controller who is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting (Master's degree preferred) and at least 8 years' of progressive experience. The ideal candidate will have a background that includes 3-5 years' of experience in a large accelerated filer publicly traded company, with a preference for those from a Big Four accounting firm and healthcare industry experience. Key responsibilities for the VP, Corporate Controller include preparing, analyzing, and reviewing financial statements, guiding financial performance, researching GAAP issues, and developing internal controls to meet SOX requirements. The role requires a strategic thinker who can develop and enforce new business processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve revenue and cash flow.
