Locally operated property management company in Austin with 35 years of history focused in Commercial Property Management recruiting an experience Property Accountant to be responsible for the financial reporting and accounting of our fee managed portfolio.

Core Responsibilities:

• Maintain and review cash basis general ledgers
• Prepare and record journal entries
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
• Research and resolve AP, AR, and cash reconciliation issues
• Produce monthly owners financial reports
• Process management fee payables
• Oversee and guide staff bookkeeper
• Process payables created by bookkeeper
• Prepare end of year close-out documents
• Work with property managers to ensure accurate and timely rent payments are submitted
• Assist with locating and resolving accounting issues

Other:

• Maintain open communication with property managers and accounting team
• Self-motivated attitude, demonstrates initiative and suggests process improvements

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree, preferably in Accounting
• Two years of professional Accounting experience in lieu of degree
• Experience with Yardi software
• Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
• Advanced experience in Microsoft Excel and Word a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
