Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Biller and Collector to join our team. You will be responsible for accurately coding and billing medical procedures, ensuring timely reimbursement, and maintaining accurate patient records. We are looking for people with experience in multiple specialties - neuromonitoring, general surgery, chiro, spine, etc.

***This is a FULLY remote position. Employees are to supply their own equipment (laptop/computer, and a printer that has the capability to scan. Calls and faxing are done through desktop apps). Experience with NJ MVA/PIP is required***

Responsibilities:

- Review and verify accuracy of medical documentation, including patient records and encounter forms

- Assign appropriate medical codes using CPT, ICD-10, and other coding systems

- Submit claims to insurance companies electronically or by mail

- Follow up on unpaid claims and denials to ensure proper reimbursement

- Communicate with insurance companies to resolve billing issues and obtain authorization for procedures

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance guidelines, coding changes, and industry regulations

- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate and complete documentation for billing purposes

- Process payments from patients and insurance companies

- Prepare financial reports related to billing activities

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred

- Proven experience as a Medical Biller or in a similar role

- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, coding systems, and medical records management

- Proficiency in medical billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
