Job Summary:
We are seeking a Medical Biller who specializes in physical therapy, chiropractic, acupuncture, and occupational therapy.
Duties:
- Review and verify accuracy of billing data and revise any errors
- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies
- Follow up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle timeframe
- Utilize medical coding to ensure compliance with federal regulations
- Process payments from insurance companies and patients
- Resolve billing issues and discrepancies
Experience:
- Proven experience in medical billing and coding
- Familiarity with ICD-10, ICD-9, DRG coding systems
- Knowledge of medical collection procedures
- Proficiency in medical office software and electronic health records
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and procedures
