Confidential is Hiring a Legal Secretary/Paralegal Near Orleans, LA

Insurance defense firm seeking a legal secretary/paralegal. Candidate would preferably be someone with at least 3 years of experience in litigation/insurance defense.

Qualifications:

Outstanding organizational and time management skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, reporting skills, research skills, Legal Administrative skills, Litigation, client relationships, scheduling, attention to detail, excellent typing and proofreading skills, confidentiality, professionalism and dependability. Proficiency in software including MS Word, Outlook, Adobe, Excel. Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities:

· Answering incoming calls

· Handling incoming and outgoing mail as well as incoming and outgoing faxes and overnight packages

· Maintaining all documents in firm’s document management system

· Managing calendars, contacts and cases in firm’s case management system

· Coordinating meetings, appointments and depositions

· Preparing draft correspondence, draft pleadings and discovery

· Follow-up on discovery and assist with administrative tasks

· Electronically file pleadings with the courts;

· Arranging travel and accommodations when needed;

· Enter attorney time into firm’s time and billing system.

Other legal secretary duties as assigned

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $52,000.00 per year
