Field Service Technician

Job Summary

We are a national provider of funds access solutions for the gaming industry. Products and services include ATM’s, Multi-Function Ticket Redemption Kiosks, Cash Advance, Check Guarantee Services, and other proprietary products designed to put cash on the gaming floor (“Products”).

Field Service Technicians (FST) perform equipment prep, configuration, and repair in addition to field installation, and training of customer personnel. Duties also include on-site trouble shooting, bench testing, evaluation of faulty equipment, and on-call technical services in coordination with our technical support center. FSTs will interface directly with customers, the Technical Support Center personnel, Engineering, and Sales.

Essential Functions

• Preparation and configuration of ATMs, Kiosks, cash cage peripherals, and related equipment to organize for installation.
• Test and repair equipment returned from customers and make recommendations for its disposition (i.e., clean & restock, send out for refurbishment, scrap).
• Field installation of equipment, testing and turning up services that met the company’s installation service level standards, including completing all installation records and ensuring customer sign-off.
• Training of customer technical personnel in the operation of the equipment.
• Field equipment repair meeting Service Level Agreements (SLA). This includes communicating clearly with internal partners, directly interfacing with the customer in a professional and courteous manner, following all company guidelines and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Performing PMs on the equipment in a professional and courteous manner, following company guidelines and ensuring customer satisfaction with the PM service.
• Providing on-call technical assistance to company’s technical support center.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Perform other job-related duties or special projects as assigned.

COMPENCIES AND SKILLS

• Technical and computer knowledge and aptitude to perform the requirements of this position.
• Mechanically oriented with previous experience working with mechanical components which require precision adjustments, calibration of on-site parts, repair, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision and with tight deadlines.
• Detail oriented, high energy, and a TEAM player.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

REQUIREMENTS

• High School diploma or equivalent, and appropriate degree, technical certifications, or commensurate experience.
• 1 - 3 years previous field services or field engineering experience.
• Computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Prior experience with installation and support of networking technologies including firewalls, switches, and related products with an understanding of networking protocols a plus.
• Previous experience installing and configuring MS Windows applications and services is a plus.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

• This is not a supervisory position.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• This position works in a warehouse environment and requires the use of phones, faxes, computers, and various electronic equipment.
• Noise level in the work environment is medium. However, customer sites may have higher noise levels.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee will need repetitive use of hands to fingers, gripping or feel objects, tools, and controls; reaching with hands and arms; and talking or hearing. Frequent standing, walking; and stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling also indicated.
• The employee will be required to sit, climb, or balance intermittently. The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds, sometimes lift and/or move objects up to 25 to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

• This is an hourly position requiring work 5 days per week which may include weekends, being on-call 24 X 7 on rotating shifts, travel up to as much as 70% of the time.

WORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARANCE

• Must be authorized to work in the United States and able to provide approved documents of eligibility of employment as requested.

REQUIRED WORK CARDS/LICENSE

• Multiple state gaming licenses.
