Confidential is Hiring an Accounts Payable Clerk Near Brighton, MI

This Livingston County Automotive Group prides itself on offering exceptional sales and service dealership operations with the most extensive pre-owned inventories in the state. An accredited dealer, not only do we boast top results as a highly sought after dealership group, we also have collision center repair services. We are currently seeking a full-time Accounts Payable Clerk who will be a part of the Accounting Team and will report to the Controller.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

· Match invoices to receiving documents.

· Verify that all invoices have the proper documentation and approval before processing payment.

· Print and ensure signatures on accounts payable checks.

· Distribute signed checks as necessary.

· Record invoices into the computer system.

· Respond to vendor inquiries while collaborating with Management and Marketing Teams.

· Timely preparation of accounts payable and refund checks.

· Investigate vendor statements, phone calls and discrepancies.

· File paid and unpaid invoices and statements.

· Assist with monthly closings.

· Maintain a cooperative work environment with other employees.

· Prepare daily bank deposit.

· Scan documents for archiving.

· Record business gas usage.

· Organize payable related accounting reports and schedules.

· Interpret documents such as sales agreements, tax and title documents, and procedure manuals while also being able to create routine reports and correspondences.

· Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, employees and the management.

· Perform additional tasks as requested by management.

Additional Abilities/Skills Required:

· Mathematical Skills: The ability to perform calculations for figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages. Also required is the ability of being able to apply concepts like fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to real-life situations.

· Reasoning Ability: The ability to solve problems that involve multiple concrete variables in standardized situations while using common sense to understand and carry about instructions in written/oral form.

· Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to computer monitors regularly. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet. We are committed to making reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities.

Education and/or Experience:

· Prior dealership experience preferred, but not required.

· At minimum, hold a High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED); and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Pay: $15.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 – 45 per week
