DUTIES
As a Human Resources Generalist, you will be responsible for providing strategic HR support to the home care branches, Regional Manager and partnering with various business leaders to drive employee engagement and organizational success.
Your main duties will include:
- Act as a primary business partner to all levels of management and execute professional HR objectives, practices and policies to meet business needs.
- Ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations
- Manage the hiring process including creation of job descriptions, recruiting, selection of candidates, preparation of offers of employment, adjudicate backgrounds and conduct new hire orientations.
- Work closely with branch managers to identify and track staffing needs of the business and work proactively to fill them via internal and external hiring, succession planning and retention practices.
- Oversee all time and attendance processing and reporting to ensure accurate and timely bi-weekly payroll processing as well as compliance.
- Assisting with organization design and change management initiatives.
- Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions, and conducting investigations as needed)
- Act as a primary resource for all personnel inquiries and requests related to employee benefits, payroll, performance, and continuous education.
- Utilizing misc systems such as ADP to manage ATS, benefit enrollment, onboarding, payroll, personnel file management and generate reports.
- Supporting the implementation of HR programs and initiatives.
SKILLS
- Strong knowledge of human resources principles, practices, and procedures to ensure compliance and mitigate legal risks.
- Experience in employee relations, including conducting investigations and resolving conflicts
- Proficiency in HRIS systems such as ADP
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Knowledge of talent acquisition strategies and experience in recruiting top talent
- Strong negotiation skills to effectively handle employee relations issues
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) for managing the recruitment process
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- At least three years of human resource management experience required.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Travel required (up to 70%)
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
