Research Coordinator will help to create new research programs in CommUnityCare and help with current research programs. While the Principal Investigator is primarily responsible for the overall design, conduct, and management of the research program, the clinical research coordinator supports, facilitates and coordinates the daily research activities and within CommUnityCare. By performing theseduties, he/she works with Director of Education and Research, principal investigators from partner organizations, and institution to support and provide guidance on the administration of the compliance, financial, personnel and other related aspects of the research projects.
1) Help organizing Research Committee meetings.2) Collects documents needed to initiate the research studies in CommUnityCare.3) Retains all study records in accordance with requirements.4) Prepare and submit IRB and other regulatory applications, renewals, and amendments and assist with necessary IRBtraining requirements for CommUnityCare research studies.5) Develop, implement, and maintain SOPs6) Help writing federal, foundation and state grants.7) Collaborates with the grants team to prepare a categorized budget and justification. Confirms accuracy and completenessof budgeted costs.8) Maintain working relationships with other study teams both internal and external to the institution.9) Organize collection of progress document for active studies.10) Develop and implement strategies for study recruitment.11) Arranges secure storage of study documents that will be maintained according to organization policy.12) Takes appropriate steps to avoid conflicts of interest, or the appearance of conflicts of interest, between financial or otherpersonal interests and the goals and policies of the university.13) Adheres to and supports all Federal regulations and procedures instituted to safeguard protected health information (PHI).14) Completes the appropriate level of training regarding the access, use, and disclosure of PHI in accordance with Federalregulations and sponsoring agency policies and procedures.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Must possess effective project management skills, including the ability to plan, organize and schedule work in an efficient andproductive manner, focusing on key priorities and meeting deadlines Must possess the ability to learn and apply new information, knowledge, and experiences in a timely manner. Must possess the ability to work on multiple tasks and projects and to prioritize. Must possess skills in performing basic statistical analyses
MINIMUM EDUCATION: BS in health services, clinical research or related field.PREFERRED EDUCATION: Master in Public HealthMINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 2 years of experience in health services or clinical research. Previous experience with subject recruitmentand retention, and data management. Ability to work independently, exercise discretion and mature judgment, and manage multiplepriorities simultaneously. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Detail oriented, well organized, self‐motivated,time management skills, general computer knowledge.PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 5 years of experience in health services or clinical research.
