POSITION PURPOSE:
The individual in this position will help advance organizational priorities, initiatives and projects inclusive of its five-year strategic plan. The position will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing organizational, initiative and project performance data as well as national best practices and standards among community health centers. The incumbent will work directly with the Vice President of Planning and Government Affairs and other members of the management staff to coordinate the planning of projects using project planning software. The position will monitor funding opportunities, develop grant applications, and write progress reports.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree in health care administration, public health, business, finance, marketing, or related field. Experience working in health and social service nonprofit settings, project planning and implementation desired.
CPR certification must be obtained.
Outstanding research and communications skills and writing ability. Ability to understand and execute complex instructions. Ability to understand the needs and performance metrics of Community Health of South Florida, Inc. (CHI) as well as those of its partner organizations. Ability to collect, manage, understand and share performance data. Ability to work effectively and comfortably with ethnically diverse populations.
POSITION RESPONSIBLITIES (THIS IS AN EXEMPT POSITION)
Coordinates project planning and development for both new and existing CHI programs as well as with the organization’s strategic plan.
Provides consultation and assistance to programs and departments in the planning of initiatives, projects and grant applications.
Serves as lead writer on project narratives for grant applications
Identifies relevant best practices and research findings.
Develops reports on funding opportunities for specific CHI needs and initiatives.
Monitors project activities to assure alignment with goals and objectives
Participates in organization-wide committees as directed.
Reports to work on time and ready to work with minimal absenteeism.
Adheres to confidentiality policies & procedures / HIPPA regulations.
Performs other duties as assigned.
