General Summary: The program coordinator assists the dean to work with the faculty to promote the program internally and externally, assess student learning, keep the curriculum current, and work with the Barbering advisory committee.
Job Specifications:
**POSTING IS AVAILABLE TO ALL APPLICANTS, HOWEVER PER AFT CONTRACT ARTICLE XXVI COMPENSATION AND FRINGE BENEFITS C. 2, INTERNAL AFT WILL HAVE PRIORITY FOR NON-TEACHING ASSIGNMENTS**
Job Duties:
1. Program promotion through presentations and coordination through admissions, registrations, recruitment.
2. Report student hours to State Board.
3. Responsible for maintaining program in accordance with State regulations and expectations, including all documentation and recordkeeping requirements.
4. Maintain relationships for purposes of external reporting.
5. Meet with appropriate external agencies to expand educational opportunities.
6. Coordinate among Discipline program faculty assessment and follow-up activities to meet Middle States requirements in this area.
7. Coordinate among Discipline faculty four-year program reviews for all Discipline programs.
8. Review assessment results, facilitate discussion among discipline faculty, and assist with implementing resulting recommendations
9. Meet with the Advisory Committee for the Program and assist with implementing board recommended projects.
10. Assist in meeting the needs of students who register for Barbering classes.
11. Provide as needed training to advisers at each campus assigning students to credit courses.
12. Prepare a Semester Report and submit it to the Dean prior to the end of each semester after final grades are submitted along with the log of activities.
13. Other related duties as required.
