General Summary: The developmental English education coordinator assists the Dean for Humanities and Social Sciences to work with ENG-090 and 101 faculty at all sites in the ongoing review of the program and training and coordination of instructors and curriculum.

Job Duties:
1. Develop, update, and present workshops prior to semester start for faculty new to teaching ENG 090
2. Update Developmental Bb Modules and encourage submissions from ENG 090 & ENG 101L faculty
3. Hold a check-in meeting with ENG 090 teachers during 2nd week of class via Zoom to discuss the results of the initial diagnostic writing
4. Zoom monthly meetings with ENG 090 teachers and ENG 101L tutors to facilitate learning from each other, sharing class lessons, strategies, successes, and challenges. Be available for more frequent additional meetings with individual teachers/tutors or teacher/tutor groups, for support/assistance/brainstorming/etc. as needed throughout semester
5. Review assessment results, facilitate discussion among discipline faculty, and assist with implementing resulting recommendations
6. Hold one norming session during the semester and a second norming session at the end of the semester
7. Throughout semester, assist ENG 090 teachers with student academic needs and challenges
8. Maintain relationships with college resources and services such as Navigators, Supportive Services, Success Coaches, etc. to assist students with additional needs that may impact their achievement
9. Data Collection: Gather anonymous attendance and pass rates from ENG 090 courses and ENG 101L courses at the conclusion of the semester
10. Prepare a program report and submit it to the Dean for Humanities and Social Sciences at the end of each semester.
11. Other related duties as required.
