Structural Engineer.. PE.. 8yrs exp.
A well-established client who specializes in the design and construction of rooftop and ground level landing pads for hospitals and businesses throughout the United States is in need of a full time, permanent Registered PE in Structural Engineering.
Will have oppty to learn Project / Director responsibilities in Construction of projects.
The ideal candidate will be degreed and have their PE registration and at least 10 years’ working experience in commercial construction of steel buildings/structures, etc.

In this role, you will Primarily be responsible for overall Structural Engineering responsibilities including sealing of dwgs.
You will also get oppty to learn management of construction projects.
These wide-ranging duties include: assisting in bid preparation, review of contracts, obtaining bids from subcontractors (steel erectors, mechanical, electrical, and painting subcontractors), and supervising our field superintendents who will be onsite directing our Contractors, subcontractors.
You will also be initiating change order requests to the General Contractor and ensuring they are approved, preparing our applications for payment to General Contractors, and approving our subcontractors’ applications for payment.
This position requires strong written/verbal communication as well as negotiating skills are needed to interface with General Contractors, Architects/Engineers, Owners and our Subcontractors.
