Property Management Company looking for roving maintenance (handyman) person(s) to handle light repairs at client properties. This position could have future possibilities for fulltime.
Maintenance and Repairs:
- Complete maintenance service orders in a timely manner.
- Report maintenance issues through the phone or tablet app.
- Recognize and report any major repair or replacement needed to the management company.
- Monitor/locate outside contractors as needed.
- Routinely and effectively communicate with the management company (both verbally and written) regarding project and repair status.
- Perform preventative maintenance, for example cleaning out gutters, checking down spouts, inspecting furnace for servicing needs, changing filters, etc.
- Perform simple repairs, for example fixing screens, cracked windows, replacing locks, toilet repairs, replacing fixtures, painting, installing laminate floors, repairing appliances, maintaining smoke and carbon detectors, and repairing of leaks.
- Attain bids/proposals for projects that fall outside company capacity.
- Remain current in safety regulations, building codes, and agency policies.
- Prepare vacant units for rental within a reasonable time. This may include coordinating the work of other staff or vendors.
- Maintain inventory of maintenance equipment as well as all other tools and building supplies etc.
- Procure and update supplies for inventory.
- Follow purchase order system established by Management and maintain.
- Maintain petty cash as directed by Management, if any.
- Attend manager’s meetings or any other meeting or training as required by management.
- General maintenance skills.
- Good communication and people skills.
- Basic tools.
- Valid Driver’s License with good driving record.
