Job Summary

Xumo, a joint venture between Comcast and Charter, was formed to develop and offer a next-generation streaming platform on a variety of branded 4K streaming devices and smart TVs. Powered by Comcast’s global technology platform, Xumo devices and services feature an entertainment experience designed to make it easy for consumers to find and enjoy their favorite streaming content through a world-class user interface and voice search, and for partners to meaningfully connect and engage with millions of consumers. The Strategic Finance team is responsible for the strategic financial direction of Xumo. Working closely with our business units, the VP Strategic Finance will lead a team focused on two critical strategic areas: 1) business case development and strategic decision support and 2) Long Range Plan creation and evolution. This role reports to the Xumo CFO. The ideal candidate has strong strategic, financial, and business acumen with extensive experience in business case development as well as leading and working with cross-functional teams.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities:

• Lead business case development across all Xumo business units (Xumo TVs, Xumo Streaming Boxes, Xumo FAST Channels).
• Lead the Long Range Plan (LRP) process.
• Deliver special projects and provide decision-making support on strategic, growth, and operational effectiveness topics; assess business cases and develop scenario analyses.
• Build financial models necessary to support key strategic and operational decisions as well as the LRP.
• Partner with stakeholders across all parts of the organization to deliver strategic targets, and align on key strategic issues, opportunities, and risk.
• Create and deliver presentations to Xumo Board of Directors and Xumo leadership supporting the LRP and business case analysis.
• Develops ways to continually improve processes to ensure timely and accurate analysis and financial review.
• Leads and develop a small team of high-performing financial and strategic professionals.
• Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

• A strong critical thinker with excellent business judgment, able to break down and solve complex problem. Flexible, ability to adapt to changing needs of business.
• Strategic orientation, focused on the ‘big picture’ and comfortable with ambiguity in long range planning.
• Excellent communication skills both in writing and in person. Able to take complicated concepts and explain them simply. Good at tailoring messages to different audiences.
• Strong analytical skills; data-driven and experienced with financial models.
• Demonstrated record in driving alignment and collaboration across large number of teams.
