Position Summary
Reporting to the Associate Director, the Admissions Assistant is the principal in-person, phone and email point of contact for all inquiries and visitors to the Business School admissions office. The Admissions Assistant represents the Business School to the public and provides reception as well as informational greetings to potential applicants, business professionals and faculty, staff and students. The Admissions Assistant should expect to work in the office five days per week.
The Admissions Assistant is well versed in Columbia Business School programs, and specifically understands and can discuss the expansion and variety of Business School programs and overall school admissions processes.

Minimum Qualifications
Demonstrated positive interpersonal skills and the ability to work with senior ranking faculty, administrative staff and students required; must have excellent communications skills for writing emails and for responding in a timely manner to written inquiries; must have a positive and enthusiastic attitude as well as the ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment is required. Excellent time management, organizational, written and oral communication skills are necessary. Must be computer proficient; prior experience with electronic mail required.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience with the administration of a graduate program, its curriculum, faculty, and admissions preferred.
