College Square Apartments is Hiring a Maintenance Technician Near Virginia, VA
Job Overview
- We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at College Square Apartments. You will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of our property.
- Start date: April 15, 2024
- Hourly rate begins at $18.00 but will depend on experience (specifically HVAC)
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as the following, but not limited to: painting, caulking, HVAC repairs, lock repairs, window/door repairs, electrical repairs, appliance repairs, preventative maintenance, and changing light bulbs, filters, batteries, etc.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues within the apartment complex
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and address them proactively
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient operation of the facility
- Assist with the organization and cleanliness of maintenance shop, remove garbage daily
Requirements
- Solid mechanical knowledge and understanding of routing maintenance tasks as listed above
- Experience in facilities maintenance and repair or any related work
- Problem solving skills and attention to detail
- Soft skills for dealing with tenants
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- High school diploma or equivalent
