To learn more, visit CollegePossible.org.Your Role as Program Events ManagerThe Program Events Manager will plan and execute student-facing events, increasing student participation and engagement, and building and strengthening community partnerships. The Program Events Manager will lead on a variety of high school and college student focused events. This role will manage events from start to finish which includes direct student outreach, material creation, and staff trainings.*Event Development and Strategy: Own and manage all College Possible's student-facing events including setting event goals, strategy and calendars. In collaboration with the leaders of our Program Teams, develop a strategic vision for all student facing events throughout the year. Identify opportunities for cross-team collaboration and foster a community of support among different functional areas.

*Event Implementation and Program Quality: Plan and coordinate special events for students such as College Possible's year-end celebrations, campus visits, college panels/admission rep. visits, and more. Align all events and project work to our mission of college graduation for students from low-income backgrounds. Ensure events are well executed and attended, as well as engaging and impactful for students and families. Track, evaluate, and report progress and results for all major events. Represent CPO Events Management at Internal and External meetings and share outcomes and data from events with program team, external relations team, and partners. Regularly review results and feedback and develop ideas and actions to improve events.*Budget Management: Manage events and partnership budgets as assigned. Leverage in-kind donations and steward donor relationships to off-set expenses.*Develop and Maintain Partner Relationships: Build and maintain successful event focused partnerships with colleges, nonprofit peer organizations, vendors, corporate partners, and other stakeholders. Facilitate professional communication with partners to build College Possible's brand.*Training and Engagement: Create and deliver both large and small-scale trainings for College Possible staff. Ensure trainings are timely, effective and engaging. Develop and provide additional avenues of communication and event-related tools so that staff and coaches are aware of events and can effectively communicate about events (e.g. Events Website, Salesforce Event Page, RSVP forms and Invites, Weekly newsletter, memos, weekly access team meeting presentations, etc.)*Supervise, Train, and Support Events Staff as Needed: Provide daily support, guidance, and oversight to events support staff to ensure excellence in their role. Manage event workflow and delegate tasks to additional support staff, troubleshoot issues as they arise, and gather feedback through check-ins and training observations.*Recruit Program Participants and Staff: Work with program and external relations teams to recruit and select students and Service Corps Members for the coming program year.*Special Projects and other duties as assigned.What You BringEducation/Certifications/Licenses:*Bachelor's degree required.

Related Work Experience:*At least two full years or related full-time work experience required;*Demonstrated success and experience in event planning, events ranging in size from 30 attendees to over 1,000 attendees required;*Demonstrated success and experience in project management and/or partnership cultivation required;*Experience successfully executing contracts/MOUs with partners/organizations required;*Experience with AmeriCorps, VISTA, or other service programs preferable, not required.

Computer/Software Skills:*Strong computer skills, including demonstrated proficiency in: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and other Office Suite programs.*Experience with Salesforce preferable, not required

Other Skills, Abilities and Requirements:*Ability to work well with diverse types of people in a team environment;*Ability to maintain high expectations, implement accountability best practices, and motivate a team;*Sound time management skills, ability to manage multiple projects independently, meet deadlines, and handle complex and stressful situations in a calm and appropriate manner;*Polished communication skills, both written and verbal, for building relationships and credibility with external partners;*Ability to work independently and execute events with clear objectives but sometimes minimal details and direction;*Ability to delegate and manage colleagues with shifting priorities in order to meet deadlines and objectives for program events;*Detail focused in event planning and event management;*Strong public speaking skills;*Demonstrated evidence of creativity and resourcefulness;*Ability to work some evenings and weekends.

Physical Requirements:*Ability to lift up to 15 pounds when needed*Office environment with limited travel*Ability to stand and/or sit for a minimum of 7 hours a day
