Pay Rate & Hours

• Pay rate is $20 per hour
• 5.75 hours per day when students are in session (8:45 AM – 3:15 PM) with a 30 minute unpaid lunch daily
• 28.75 hours per week

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet the requirements for the No Child Left Behind Act
• Two (2) years of study at an institution of higher education; OR
• Associate’s or higher degree; OR
• Successfully pass the ParaPro Assessment

• Must have excellent organization and communication skills
• Be flexible and open minded
• Possess no excuses philosophy
• Good time-management skills
• Work cooperatively and effectively with other professional staff members
• Possess a team first mindset

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a high level of effectiveness
• Agree and commit to the Cold Spring Philosophy and Beliefs
• Must be willing to collaborate with administration and all staff
• Provide small group instruction to students as needed
• Use a variety of instructional methods and materials
• Possess a growth mindset
• Assist in maintaining the security of records, materials, and equipment
• Assist the teacher in the enforcement of classroom rules and the maintenance of appropriate records
• Maintains control that is conducive to safety in the classroom and on the playground
• Responds promptly to needs and solicits feedback to improve service
• Serve as building level substitute as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned
