CoHo Services is Hiring a Night Auditor Near Tillamook, OR

The Night Auditor plays a crucial role in ensuring a seamless and exceptional experience for all guests during the overnight hours. Our Night Auditor is responsible for providing accurate and timely information, services, and support to guests in a professional and courteous manner, while accurately performing night audit procedures.

Position Information: Full-Time, $17 hourly rate.

Key Responsibilities of a Night Auditor:

  • Greet, check-in, and check-out guests efficiently, friendly, and professionally, ensuring a warm and welcoming experience.
  • Obtain guest identification and credit/check approval in accordance with hotel policies.
  • Proactively identify and fulfill special guest requests, ensuring a personalized and memorable stay.
  • Listen attentively and respond to guest inquiries with a positive and friendly demeanor, addressing their needs and concerns promptly.
  • Manage and resolve guest complaints and problems professionally, courteously, and in a timely manner, prioritizing guest satisfaction.
  • Answer incoming calls promptly, routing them appropriately while maintaining a courteous and helpful attitude.
  • Enthusiastically promote the property, offering information and answering questions about special events, facilities, amenities, and rate packages.
  • Facilitate smooth operations by communicating effectively with the incoming shift, passing on necessary information.
  • Complete daily checklist tasks diligently, ensuring operational efficiency and consistency.
  • Adhere to established policies regarding handling employee cash banks and posting charges to individual or master accounts.
  • Reconcile charges and cash received during the shift, prepare and witness the drop, ensuring accurate financial records.
  • Operate company vans as needed, providing transportation services to guests when required.
  • Handle guest mail and messages according to established procedures, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Offer and properly manage requests for wake-up calls, ensuring guests are alerted as requested.
  • Reconcile the current day's revenue, process payments to the guest ledger, and balance accounts receivable, ensuring accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare daily management reports as required, providing valuable insights and data for operational decision-making.
  • Complete the front office system update process per established guidelines, ensuring data integrity and seamless operations.
  • Balance and verify the summary of daily transactions, ensuring the hotel's computer system is prepared for the next day's business.
  • Balance and audit all front desk postings and settlements, maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Reconcile food & beverage and miscellaneous revenue sources with the point of sale system, recording and adjusting entries as necessary.
  • Maintain a neat and organized work area, fostering a professional and welcoming environment.
  • Conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times, upholding the hotel's standards and values.
  • Prioritize safety by maintaining a secure working environment and immediately reporting all unsafe conditions.
  • Foster positive working relationships with all departments, promoting collaboration and teamwork.
  • Comply with all policies and procedures set forth in the property Employee Handbook.

Qualifications of a Night Auditor:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Possession of all required government licenses or certificates.
  • Strong basic math skills and prior cash handling experience.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work well under pressure.
  • Capability to work with minimal supervision, demonstrating self-motivation and responsibility.
  • Maintain a professional appearance at all times, reflecting the hotel's brand and values.
  • Excellent teamwork skills, collaborating effectively with colleagues across departments.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with guests and colleagues effectively.
  • Willingness and flexibility to work any day of the week and any hour as required by the position.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 per hour
