My client is a well-established, general contractor who has been trading for over 30 years, building up a great reputation in the healthcare market. Over 80% of the projects that they work on are with repeat clients, this shows that they produce a brilliant quality of work. Some of the clients that they work with are Columbia University, NYU School of Medicine, and Stamford Medicine. The projects involve ground-up construction, design and build, and renovations and they also work on imaging projects. Projects they work on can range from $2M - $15M.

About the opportunity

My client is looking for an Estimator to join their current team. They already have a very experienced Chief Estimator in place allowing you to learn, develop and improve.

• The Estimator is responsible for accurately estimating the total costs associated with a project by executing a detailed line-item budget by trade with unit costs.
• Prepare detailed conceptual budgets and estimating from pre-construction, concept design, schematic design and design development documents.
• Perform detailed take-offs of all trades.
• Initiate and manage entire bid process (construction management and general contractor) inclusive of preparation of detailed bid package.

The projects you will be working on will be predominantly interior healthcare construction projects ranging in value between $1M - $25M.

Requirements

It is important you have at least 5 years of experience estimating for General Contractors across New York City. I am looking for someone experienced in healthcare interior projects.
