GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB
Under general supervision, performs administrative and secretarial duties, dealing with sensitive, upper management activities and materials for the City Manager and/or Mayor’s office. Maintains electronic and computer files for the City Manager’s office. Provides general assistance to the Deputy Clerk in preparing for Council Meetings, posting meeting notices, and maintaining public records. Reports to the City Manager.
MINIMUM TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma (or GED equivalent) with one to three years’ experience in administrative duties, accounting, public relations; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be physically able to operate a variety of office equipment, such as a computer, printer, calculator, copier, fax machine, telephone, etc. Must be able to use body members to work, move or carry objects or materials. Must be able to exert up to twenty pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to ten pounds of force frequently. Physical demand requirements are at levels of those for sedentary work. Must be able to lift and/or carry weights of twenty to forty pounds.
