Hemp Hunter Labs, Inc. is a fast-growing New York based Cannabis Adult-use Processing and CPG Manufacturing Company. The company is a multi-faceted business which produces a wide variety of cannabis products for sale and distribution to licensed NYS dispensaries. In addition to the production and sale of our in-house brands, we also offer co-packing and distribution services for large multi-state cannabis brands. The company is currently hiring for Two Packaging Technicians.
Overview: The Packaging Technician will be responsible for safely and effectively packaging and labeling food safe cannabis products. The Packaging Technician will assist with maintaining food grade processing equipment and lab grade equipment, recording, and entering data in multiple forms, and associated tasks delegated by management. The Packaging Technician will be responsible for consistent, sanitary, and safe packaging and labeling of cannabis products adhering to company policies and GMP to successfully uphold quality control and consistent product production.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Package and label product(s) as required and trained
Fulfill orders
Maintain level of desired quality while packaging and labeling
Maintain level of desired quantity of packaged material
Maintain level of desired quantity of fulfilled orders
Count inventory
Help maintain inventory records of raw material, packaged product and fulfilled orders
Move inventory from room to room
Maintain workspace in an organized and clean fashion
Cleaning of work areas
Dispose of and track waste
Remain compliant with biosecurity measures in the building
Learn and maintain continual awareness and understanding of complete set of specific rules determined by the law and by the commission
Complete all required training
Works in other areas of the facility, performing tasks outside of the scope of the primary job functions as needed
Complete all required training
Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
Must follow all company policies and procedures
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma or G.E.D minimum
At least one year of manufacturing and packaging experience with a focus on ensuring product safety, consumer safety and satisfaction, and high product quality
Knowledge of FDA, GMP’s, HACCP, OSHA, etc. is a plus
Ability to wear PPE (personal protective equipment)- bump cap, hair net, ear plugs, beard net (if applicable), protective gloves, safety glasses and slip resistant work shoes/boots.
Ability to apply basic computer and communication skills, math functions, and reasoning
Effective communication skills and attention to detail
Strong work ethic
Willingness to learn and improve each operation
Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, team environment
High stress tolerance, adaptable, ability to work in an ever-changing environment, flexible
Ability to perform repetitive tasks for long periods of time
Ability to push, pull, or lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
