CannabizTEMP is actively seeking Packaging Technicians to join our client, an industry-leading Cannabis Company in Hamptonburgh, NY. As a Packaging Technician, you will play a crucial role in the assembly, packaging, and labeling of various cannabis-infused products for shipment. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a desire to work collaboratively within a team.
Responsibilities:
Quality Control: Thoroughly inspect cartridges and pre-rolls, ensuring they meet quality and safety standards.
Weighing and Measuring: Accurately measure and weigh cannabis products to comply with regulatory requirements.
Packaging: Properly package products while maintaining freshness and quality, following strict protocols.
Labeling: Apply labels with required information, including potency, dosage instructions, and regulatory compliance.
Inventory Management: Track inventory levels and assist in restocking packaging materials.
Compliance: Ensure all packaging and labeling practices adhere to state and federal cannabis industry regulations.
Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of packaging and labeling activities for regulatory compliance.
Sanitization: Follow strict sanitation protocols to maintain a clean and hygienic packaging environment.
Safety: Adhere to safety protocols when handling cannabis products and machinery.
Additional Responsibilities for MIP Packaging Department:
Assembly Line Packaging: Pre-prepare Primary and Secondary packaging layers for concentrate, vape cartridges, and infused pre-roll products.
Machine Maintenance: Troubleshoot and maintain the MIP Packaging Machine for longevity and quality.
Adjustments and Maintenance: Make necessary adjustments to machinery for proper operation.
Diagnosis and Resolution: Diagnose machinery concerns and implement resolutions for consistent effectiveness.
Team Support: Guide and support team members in packaging container production on MIP Packaging Machines.
Communication: Contribute to effective data logging, labeling, and promote team unity towards daily and weekly quotas.
Training: Assist in training MIP Packaging department members to accurately package different SKUs and inventory packages.
Workflow Understanding: Have a clear understanding of workflow throughout the MIP Processing department.
Flexibility: Be prepared to adapt techniques and instructions based on variables, R&D experiments, and consistency attributes.
Clean and Organized Environment: Maintain a GMP certified clean and organized work environment.
Product Transport: Support the secure transport of products from Quarantine Hold Room and Extraction department to MIP Packaging areas.
Cross-Departmental Assistance: Assist other departments as needed, including Extraction, Trim, Cure, Farm, and facility-wide cleaning and light maintenance.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in cannabis packaging or a similar role is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
Knowledge of cannabis regulations and compliance (preferred but not required).
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and regulated environment.
Team player with excellent communication skills.
Flexibility to adapt to changing production needs.
Authorization to work in the United States.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 7:00 am - 4:00 pm.
Pay Rate:
$18-20/hr.
