Job Summary

The hands on and highly technical Solutions Architect will be responsible for translating business opportunities into technical requirements and articulating/documenting the overall vision for an end-to-end solution. This role is an expansion to an existing team and will bridge A&H insurance lines of business with modern as well as legacy technologies by leading multiple design initiatives at any one time while working with other technical architects and engineers.

Responsibilities:

• Designing, modifying, and testing system and software architecture
• Providing supervision and guidance to development teams
• Continuously researching current and emerging technologies and proposing changes where needed
• Informing stakeholders about any issues with current technical solutions being implemented
• Assessing the business impact of technical choices and providing updates on solution development processes, costs, and budgets

• Must be competent to work at the highest technical level of all phases of system architecture design, using state of the art rule/framework-based architecture, object-oriented component analysis and proficiency in web-based systems architecture, service-based architecture and enterprise application architecture
• Ability to find creative and secure solutions and keen attention to detail
• Proficiency with diagraming tools and various documentation approaches
• Knowledge of design and implementation of solutions and systems using homegrown and off the shelf applications located in the cloud and on-premises
• Must be able to clearly communicate complex technical and business concepts both to business partners and team members
