Role : Solutions Architect
Location : Chicago, IL, USA
Qualifications (must haves):
> Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
> Three to Five (3-5) years of professional experience in technology or a related field
> Two to Three (2-3) years of professional experience with architecture-related concepts
> Two to Three (2-3) years of professional experience with Azure Cloud Computing
> Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert
> Preferred Qualifications
> Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success as a team leader, including:
> Experience in architecting and designing technical solutions for Microsoft-centric solutions based on industry standards using any Azure IaaS, PaaS and SaaS capabilities.
> Ability to provide best practice guidance on the architectural design across multiple applications and projects of the enterprise
> Experience using Terraform to implement IaaC
> Demonstrable experience providing engineered IT solutions to large programs
> Ability to translate technical solutions into layman terms for delivery to audiences with varying technical ability
> IT systems design and development
> Experience with Github Actions to implement CI/CD
> Experience operating in both agile and waterfall development environments
> Being a thought leader by staying abreast of current and emerging cloud technologies and industry trends
> Strong knowledge of security components like Kerberos, SSL, and Encryption using TDE
> Knowledge of Azure Security, Data Management and Governance, Metadata Management
> Azure Devops exposure
> Experience moving existing applications into the public cloud (Azure)
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Works with the technical leadership team to define a technical architecture for PWS Cloud Public Architecture
- Highly flexible and adaptable to change
- Ensures the realization of the desired business outcome by implementing solutions and tracking those through to final development
- Exercises judgement based on the analysis of multiple sources of information
- Serves as objective escalation point for conflicts during the development process
- Mentors the team as needed to remove impediments, achieve project goals and grow less experience team members
- Provide solutions to complex problems
- Carries out the most complex initiatives involving multiple disciplines and strategic execution
- Define best practices and development guidelines and ensures the team is aligned to those standards
- Exhibits strong oral and written communication skills
