Christlie G. Consulting is Hiring a Field Human Resources Payroll Specialist (Contract) Near Atlanta, GA

The Role

The Field HR Payroll Specialist will report into our Principal HR Consultant. The Field HR Payroll Specialist will largely focus on the full payroll process but sup[port with additional HR generalist needs of the business. Additional support in the following areas: HR analytics, administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient client operational success. The ideal HR Payroll Specialist will possess thorough understanding of payroll laws and payroll tax laws, Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and excellent written and verbal communication. They will combine essential organizational skills and effective use of resources to execute HR Payroll support for operational leaders.

PREFER RETAIL OR FAST FOOD HR EXPERIENCE.

What You'll Do

    • Ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll system (Toast) including transactions, including salaries, commissions, bonuses, benefits, garnishments, taxes, new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates and other deductions
    • Register appropriate accounts with new states (i.e.local taxes, etc.) and update the payroll system with any tax changes.
    • Resolve issues with state and local tax accounts as appropriate.
    • Respond to inquiries and requests related to the preparation and distribution of payroll.
    • Compile payroll data (i.e. hours worked from an electronic timekeeping system) input HR/payroll data and track payroll and timecard cycle.
    • Prepare detailed and accurate payroll reports for the finance department.
    • Reconcile 401(k) accounts, FSA, HSA, COBRA, and other benefit accounts in conjunction with Finance.
    • Ensure department assignments, costing and traceability of payroll to admin depts, sales, and service lines are accurate.
    • Maintain all leave records including but not limited to Paid Time Off leave, short-term disability, FMLA, Sick Time, etc.
    • Process 401(k) contributions and corresponding records on a bi-weekly basis.
    • Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit purposes.
    • Prepare and maintain accurate reports of payroll transactions.
    • Maintain confidential and up-to-date personnel files
    • Onboard new employees by configuring and utilizing the onboarding system.
    • Effectively document, investigate, and resolve employee relations issues, in collaboration with Client.
    • Assist management with policy interpretation, as well as provide guidance on HR related procedures and programs
    • Facilitate and assist with recruitment, pre-employment and on-boarding processes in accordance with state and federal regulations
    • An astute attention to detail, and the ability to work well with others, internally as well as external vendors and clients.
    • Functions as local HR contact for communication and implementation of corporate initiatives in the field; ensure effective communication of company policies relating to personnel practices and procedures
    • Participate in HR team planning and strategy, as well as operations succession planning 
    •  Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
    • Maintains knowledge and understanding of laws and regulations related to EEO, affirmative action, collective bargaining, unions, labor relations, and human resources. 
    • Acts as liaison between employees and benefits/payroll. 

What Experience You Need

    • Minimum of three to five years of payroll processing experience required
    • Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Human Resources professional; or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Depending on the location where this role is based, bi-lingual language skills may be required, with Spanish being the preferred bi-lingual language of business
    • Working knowledge of employment laws including, but not limited to the DOL, FLSA, ADA and EEOC
    • Broad knowledge of human resource as it relates to benefits, training and development; hiring and recruitment; safety and worker's compensation; wage administration and compliance
    • Working knowledge of HR systems specifically ATS and HRIS such as Paycor and Workable.
    • Must have a valid Driver’s license and reliable transportation
    • Local to Atlanta area 
    • No relocation provided for this role

The anticipated salary for this position is $20.00 hour. Christlie G.
