We are looking for a thorough Maintenance Technician to undertake the responsibility to insure and upkeep the good condition and functionality of all our buildings and premises throughout Lubbock and Amarillo. This candidate should be a professional with a practical mind and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines. The goal is to maintain the buildings and common areas in the best possible condition.

Responsibilities

• Inspect buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards.
• Perform basic maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels, etc.).
• Maintain basic heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality.
• Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows, etc.).
• Conduct general upkeep procedures (eg. Landscaping and vehicles) and other tasks as assigned (eg. painting and simple carpentry repairs).

Requirements

• Experience as a maintenance technician
• Basic understanding of electrical and plumbing and other systems
• Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
• Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
• Manual dexterity and problem solving skills
• Proficient with a computer and emails
• Good with physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to pass an FBI background check

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $11.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 39 per week
