Job Title: Seasonal Office Assistant

Reports To: Office Manager

Job Purpose:

The mission of Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream Company is to create extraordinary ice cream as a means to build community and spread joy.

Are you ready to scoop up this summer job? We are looking for an energetic and motivated individual looking for a sweet summer gig to ensure the efficient day-to-day operations of the main office. Support the work of management and other staff, aid in order taking, donations, filing, and other administrative work.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure donation requests are promptly and courteously responded to, processed, and recorded.
• Ensure guests are properly and courteously checked in and directed appropriately.
• Assist in the fulfillment of UPS orders
• Aid the office manager and other staff with additional projects and administrative work.
• Assist in other areas/department of the plant as needed.
• Other tasks and projects as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Punctual, predictable, and reliable attendance
• Cooperative and able to follow direction
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be customer service driven
• Proficiency in word processing, the Google suite, and email
• Ability to multitask
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Able to work with minimum supervision
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to constantly position self to file orders/reports or stock supplies, including but not limited to low laying filing cabinet drawers.
• Must be able to occasionally move supplies or files weighing up to 50lbs.
• Must be able to move about inside the office.
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position (sitting) 95% of shift
• Must be able to constantly operate a computer and other office machinery, such as but not limited to a calculator, copy machine, and printer.
• Must be able to detect fire, trip, or other safety hazards.

Education/ Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Office experience preferred

Compensation & Benefits:

• Starting pay $16/hour
• Paid training
• Daily overtime paid for 8 hours
• Weekly overtime paid for 40 hours

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
