Childrens Outing Association is Hiring a Facilities Assistant Near Milwaukee, WI
Title: Facilities Assistant
COA Site: Goldin Center (2320 W. Burleigh St)
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Earnings: $14.00 per hour
This position is responsible for assisting the Facilities Director in the daily cleaning and maintenance of our facilities. This position is a part-time position not eligible for benefits. Normal work hours are Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Main Job Responsibilities
- General janitorial, facility and ground maintenance.
- Walkway maintenance including sweeping and shoveling.
- Inventory and stocking of janitorial supplies.
- Set up and break down rooms for meeting, special events, etc.
Qualifications
- High school or GED desired
- One year of general knowledge/experience of janitorial/housekeeping and general maintenance
- Self-directed and ability to work independently and efficiently
- Must be reliable and dependable, with the ability to adhere to schedules and specific timetables
- Willingness to learn with a positive, friendly and courteous attitude
- Ability to use a snow blower and a lawnmower.
- The physical requirements are the ability to stand, sit, bend, kneel, crawl and twist for long periods, (e.g., shovel snow, cut grass); ability to lift and carry a minimum of 60 pounds; and ability to walk up stairs and ladders.
- This position may require outside work, which means being exposed to extreme weather such as rain, snow, cold, etc. for extended periods of time.
