Location: San Antonio, TX

The Business Analyst will gather, analyze, and compile data needed to identify trends and patterns. The Business Analyst will collaborate with stakeholders to determine next steps.

Requirements

• A minimum of two years of professional work experience outside of academic schooling
• Preferred 4 Year / Bachelor’s Degree Business, Computer Science, Math, Statistics, or related field

Skills

• Analytically oriented with the ability to interpret trends and correlations
• Experience distilling complex thoughts and strategies into simple, actionable recommendations
• Strong knowledge of database & data warehousing concepts
• Experience writing complex SQL queries
• Knowledge of A/B testing and statistical principles (e.g. regression)
• Microsoft Excel advanced skills needed, including pivot tables, lookup functions, and charts
• Experience with Tableau or other reporting/BI tools
• Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks and work within deadlines

Responsibilities

• Gathers business intelligence from various sources, including company data, industry and field reports, public information, or purchased sources
• Presents the data in a useable and consumable format for stakeholders
• SQL querying for best results, use of filters and graphs for better understanding of data
• Maintains deep and up-to-date knowledge of the data warehouse; troubleshoot data
• inconsistencies.
• Builds and maintains dashboards to track performance
• Interpret results using a variety of techniques, ranging from simple exploratory data analysis to
• statistical modeling
• Demonstrate a level of independence in driving analysis
• Recommends methods and processes to improve data reporting moving forward
• Works with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
• Uses business intelligence data and tools to identify and monitor current and potential business
• growth opportunities
• Summarizes financial and economic data reports for review by executives, managers, clients, and
• stakeholders
• Performs other related duties as assigned
