    The Position:

    We are seeking a skilled HR Specialist to join our team. The HR Specialist will be responsible for managing various HR functions, including onboarding, employee relations, safety, workers’ compensation, recruitment, and compliance. The ideal candidate must have a solid understanding of HR best practices, excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
    What You’ll Do

    • Facilitates the onboarding process for new hire, including orientation and ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed and updated in UKG.
    • Administers and processes all workers’ compensation claims.
    • Responsible for administration of safety compliance.
    • Provides support and guidance to employees on HR-related matters, including benefits, policies and procedures.
    • Responsible for all incoming HR emails.
    • Responsible for the administration of the leave of absence policies.
    • Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws and regulations.
    • Provides back-up support to the Recruiter.
      • Conducts Spanish assessments to new applicants
    • Maintains and updates HR Procedure Memorandums and Forms.
    • Responsible for updating HR forms in SharePoint.
    • Assist with HR projects and initiatives.
    • Hours: Full-time, Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm, one-hour meal period
    • The first 3-4 months of employment are fully onsite. Hybrid work option is available after 3-4 months.
    • Starting Salary: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour

    Qualifications

    • Bilingual in Spanish and English required
    • 4 years of experience in HR roles with a strong understanding of HR best practices.
    • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
    • Proficiency in MS Office products and HCM systems. UKG experience a plus.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field preferred. Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
