Job Overview

The Talent Coordinator will be a talented, experienced individual who will assist in maintaining and growing the culture at Bay Center Foods. Additionally, they will support the day-to-day operations of the talent team, working closely with all departments. The ideal candidate will have a basic knowledge of Human Resources as well as general administrative responsibilities. The Talent Coordinator will report to the Sr. Team Leader, Talent. This position is based in Valencia, CA.

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay scale for this position is $ $36.00 - $40.00 per hour. This pay scale takes into account a wide range of business factors and may change over time.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities and Activities

  • Ensure Labor Law posting compliance throughout the facility by maintaining up-to-date documentation and posted signage.
  • Support regular communication to leadership and staff relating to timekeeping and Growing Excellence
  • Assist with culture events planning and coordination/execution, including set up and take down at All Hands meetings, Team Member engagement activities, community outreach events, and other events as needed, including offsite events.
  • Support internal interview scheduling with leaders and booking Talent Team meetings as assigned.
  • Run regular and ad-hoc reports from Workday and NovaTime as requested, including performance review status reports, benefits open enrollment status reports.
  • Support leadership development activities including participant tracking and running progress reports from the LMS (Alchemy), scheduling and maintaining leadership training calendar.
  • Conduct research and compile data for consideration and presentation. Prepare PowerPoint presentations and design professional documents as needed.
  • Serve as point of contact for Staff and vendors relating to uniforms (Cintas) and Ave C Canteen.
  • Order/manage BCF swag and supplies for events as needed
  • Work closely with other departments or functions as needed such as Security, EHS and the Leave team, including the validation of invoices and Growing Excellence activities.
  • Other administrative duties as assigned.

  • Ability to handle and keep sensitive data and personnel matters confidential.
  • Strong presentation and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Proven record of working independently with little oversight – high degree of initiative and urgency.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts.
  • Self-starter with exceptional attention to detail and organization.
  • Ability to build effective relationships at all levels of the organization and must be professional at all times.
  • Comfortable with Microsoft programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, etc.
  • Routinely shows interest / knowledge and offers suggestions for continuous improvement.
  • Solutions oriented and proactive problem solver.
  • Complete physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Reach, bend, and stoop while performing work. Ability to work above shoulders. Work while standing for several hours at a time.
  • Manage pressure and conflicting demands; manage shifting priorities.
  • Adapt to change and respond to difficult and challenging situations in a professional manner.

Minimum Qualifications

High School degree. Associate degree or higher preferred

 2 years experience in HR or Office Administration

Preferred Qualifications

  • Manufacturing facility experience.
  • Working knowledge of safe work practices.
  • Working knowledge of HRIS and timekeeping systems.
