Chick-fil-A is Hiring a Talent Acquisition Lead Near Charlotte, NC

Description

Our restaurant is currently undergoing an exciting remodel. We hope to re-open during the first week of January 2024. With all the improvements to our kitchen, team member areas, and our drive-thru setup, this presents exciting opportunities for future team members. We will have a good number of jobs to hire for over the next two months, and then we will be training everyone we are hiring. We hope to hire a Talent Acquisition Lead within the next few weeks. The Talent Acquisition Lead will play a major role in getting our team ready for this exciting time.

The Talent Acquisition Lead is a self-led team member with excellent interpersonal and communication skills who works independently to provide ongoing recruitment and interviewing services. The Talent Acquisition Lead will work approximately 15-20 hours per week in the talent acquisition role, physically on-site. At times they will set up or attend off-site recruiting events. They will also build relationships in the Northlake community to establish solid recruiting channels for future hires, manage the applicant pool, and maintain a standardized hand-off of newly hired team members to the operations team.

Requirements and Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Clear understanding of ideal Chick-fil-A candidates who will add value to the Northlake Parkway Chick-fil-A culture.
  • Develop and implement recruiting strategies to attract and retain high-quality candidates through the creation of recruitment channels within the immediate community; options include high schools within the community, online job boards, social media platforms, company website, and career fairs.

Interviews

  • Review applicants carefully against the job requirements. Shortlist candidates who meet the criteria and have the potential to succeed in the role.
  • Schedule in-person interviews with the shortlisted candidates.
  • Keep interview questions prepared to assess their skills, experience, and cultural fit.
  • Evaluate candidates based on their interview performance, resume, and references.
  • Work with other leaders in the restaurant with follow-up interviews and deciding on whom we should hire.
  • Call references regularly to assess applicants.
  • Extend a job offer to viable candidates. Clearly communicate the terms of employment, including compensation and next steps for new hires.

Onboarding for New Hires

  • Be able to teach new team members about our company culture, provide expectations for necessary training and resources, and ensure a smooth transition into their new role.
  • Check-in with new hires as needed to help them adjust.
  • Communicate with our team so that new team members have a great experience as they join our team.
