High school diploma or GED; three years of college coursework in recreation or related field and/or directly related experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Knowledge of nature and/or adventure-oriented programs preferred. Experience planning activities; the ability to work with limited supervision; and a desire to work with individuals aged 7-10. First aid and CPR certification preferred. Pre-employment drug testing, FBI criminal background check and education/degree verification required.
Chesterfield Parks and Recreation is seeking energetic and motivated persons to work in outdoor adventure/nature camps this summer to serve as camp leaders. Functions may include supervising youth participants, directing, planning, and implementing recreational activities for a diverse population. Performs other work as required.
Approximately 25 hours/week; 8:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Monday – Friday for 6 weeks; additional shifts may be available to include evenings, weekends, and some holidays
