Bachelor's degree in a criminal justice, human services or related field; one year of experience in counseling, social work or crisis intervention; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Previous experience at a Victim Witness office is highly desirable. Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills preferred but not required. Pre-employment drug testing, FBI criminal background check and education/degree verification required. This position is subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justice’s “Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy” and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent criminal background check.
This is an administration position. The incumbent performs complex task to provide direct services, including information, referrals and assistance to victims and witnesses of crime as required by the Crime Victim and Witness Rights Act.
The part-time Victim Witness Program Case Manager is directly supervised by the Victim Witness Program Director and ultimately reports to the Commonwealth’s Attorney.
The Victim Witness Program Case Manager also:
28 hours/week; varies Monday - Friday between 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
