Both the Chelsea and Brooklyn locations feature studio-quality fitness programming, indoor swimming pools, recreational and competitive sports clubs, comprehensive personal training services, communal work and social spaces, artisanal food offerings, and a year-round calendar of social and cultural events that reflect the ethos of the neighborhoods they serve. Role & Responsibilities:

As an integral member of the Chelsea Piers Fitness team, the Membership Consultant will build the clubs high-quality membership base through an aggressive sales effort.

The Membership Consultant will be responsible for:

• Adoption of relationship-based sales philosophy focused on information discovery
• Prospecting, lead generation, and building of referral business
• Sale of new memberships
• Mastery of all member opportunities within the club; connecting new members to areas of interest to set them up for success and long-term membership
• Working cohesively with a team of Sales Account Managers and a Membership Director to be successful individually and as a team
• Establishing a strong sales pipeline, meeting sales objectives, and collaborating with a team to achieve the overall goals of the business
• Managing select events geared towards engaging the membership base and/or generating interest in and excitement around the club
• Serving as a visible and active goodwill ambassador with members and at select special events
• Delivering superior customer service with an aim towards member retention

Qualifications:

• A four-year degree from an accredited college or university
• Analysis and understanding of key business metrics that directly impact membership growth
• Self-motivated/entrepreneurial spirit with an outgoing, diligent, and affable disposition
• Superior customer service skills; excellent and clear communication skills, both verbal and written; strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
• Passion for fitness with a team-first mentality
• Ability to work on nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
• 1 years of Membership Sales experience, preferably in a high-end fitness environment
