Warehouse Team Lead

As a CPI Warehouse Team Lead, you will occupy a key role in working with and for a company that builds the physical infrastructure that powers, protects and secures the world’s digital technology. Day to day, you will be responsible for inventory control and flow of materials in and out of all the warehouse at all CPI facilities. Assigns work and coordinates assignments to maintain workflow. Assures conformance against established objectives. Accountable for quality and quantity of work produced within the receiving area at all CPI facilities. Oversees functions including, but not limited to, receiving, production support, cycle counting, slow moving inventory and obsolescence, CRA, forklift certification and safety, inbound freight, freight claims, and transactions between CPI and it’s outsource partners.

Essential Functions:

1. Hires, develops, and evaluates all warehouse, receiving, and inventory control personnel.
2. Coordinates the daily activities of the warehouse, receiving, and inventory control areas.
3. Develops and recommends improvements in warehouse and receiving practices that will promote efficiency, better customer service, data accuracy, and lower costs.
4. Develops departmental procedures and assures training and compliance of staff.
5. Delegates work to staff in conjunction with daily priorities.
6. Oversees the safe unloading of all carriers at all CPI facilities.
7. Ensures proper processing of CRA’s.
8. Coordinates the daily cycle counting of materials and publishes the results.
9. Coordinates the cycle counting and physical inventory effort at CPI facilities.
10. Monitors carrier performance and freight charges for all materials.
11. Ensures that freight claims are handled in a timely manner.
12. Manages forklift certification and safety program at all CPI facilities.
13. Manages outsource partner transactions and tracks on-time performance for these accounts.

Additional Functions:

1. Conducts complex analytical studies and makes recommendations from them.
2. Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Technical Competencies:

• AA/AS/ degree or equivalent.
• Minimum of five (5) years relevant work experience.
• Working knowledge of ERP / Inventory Accounting systems.
• ISM/APICS certification preferred.
• Extensive use of effective PC skills.
• Ability to organize and present material in a convincing manner.

PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Work in a manufacturing environment.
• Working with a computer.
• Frequent sitting, standing, walking, stooping.
• Gross and manual dexterity.
• Lift up to 25lbs.
