Summary:
The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for managing the coordination of assigned construction projects which includes contract administration, procurement, document management, financial and risk management, scheduling, and quality control as necessary to support field operations from start-up to completion of assigned projects. The Assistant Project Manager reports to the Senior Project Manager and may manage and/or direct the work of subordinates, subcontractors, and vendors.
Education Qualifications:
Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited program in Construction Management, Engineering, or related curriculum
Preferred: Advanced Degree or Certification in Project/Construction Management, LEED Green Associate Certification or PMP Certification
Experience Qualifications:
Minimum: 3 years of professional experience in project management role for a commercial general contractor or specialty contractor. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred: 5 years of professional experience in project management role for a commercial general contractor. Proficiency with estimating and scheduling software programs as well as Bluebeam, and Procore.
Work Environment:
This position works in an office setting 80% of the time and in the field 20% of the time during normal business hours.
Physical Requirements:
The physical demands of this position must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for an extended period of time and frequently stand and walk. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel: and reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee will occasionally lift and/or move office equipment up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include viewing computer monitors. Most work is performed in an office environment during normal business hours.
