Central Seal Company is Hiring a Branch Operations Manager Near Florence, KY

Overall Responsibility

Supervises the activities of production personnel engaged in all facets of the pavement marking/maintenance function. A Project Manager has some authority for personnel actions and oversees most day-to-day operations of a team. Typically, on the project to oversee and manage the project overall. Familiar with, and excels at a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Project Manager may assist with bidding/procuring work. PM’s ensure that the field staff perform on schedule and efficiently. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks and can be assigned to projects with multiple simultaneous applications/activities. Often attends preconstruction meetings to initiate new projects and communicates strategy of project completion. Typically reports to a Project Manager or head of a unit/department. Position may involve extensive travel.

Key areas of responsibility

  • Daily production reporting to DOT/Transportation Cabinet as well as material certifications, etc.
  • Maintain accurate records for use in semi-monthly billing and materials application process in Foundation.
  • Assist, as needed, with any pay discrepancies between Company and customer.
  • Coordinate material orders, logistics of material, and delivery with Materials Coordinator
  • General supervision of staff/crews – proper documentation of employee relations issues, including assistance with hiring and separation of staff
  • Execute assignments laid out by the Project Manager and ensure completion of the daily assignments.
  • Effectively communicate with company Project Managers, state inspectors and general contractors on scheduling, needs, and quantities of materials
  • Daily/weekly evaluation of each crews’ performance for progress and efficiency via daily production reports and ExakTime reporting
  • Regular Quality Control inspections and reporting
  • Regular Safety inspections and reporting, including accurate Accident/Injury reporting
  • Performs and coordinates “logging” or routes prior to start of resurfacing projects
  • Effectively operate and drive any vehicles/equipment that your crew routinely uses
  • Oversee the initial job setup and preparation prior to permanently marking or maintaining any surfaces
  • Must be able to read engineers estimates, plans, blueprints
  • Moderate to Proficient use of Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) is required
  • Effectively communicate with employees, Team Leaders and Project Managers, be a liaison between management and our Team Leaders, effective problem resolution between crews
  • Principal source of training and knowledge for Team Leaders
  • Understands and values accurate Job Cost Reporting

Minimum Requirements:

  • · A High School Diploma/GED or a minimum of 5 years related experience
  • Strong desire for quality and timely work
  • Strong leadership ability
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds
  • Experience in construction or manufacturing environment
  • Valid driver's license and a clean and safe driving history
  • CDL; Class A or B

Preferred Qualifications/ Education:

  • High School or equivalent
  • Have a valid Class A or B CDL
  • Have previous experience operating construction equipment
  • Considerable knowledge of heavy equipment operating principals
  • Ability to drive and operate commercial trucks
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
