Assists in the direct care and management of children, adolescents, and adults, as determined by the Treatment Plan, Program Structure, and presenting issues/behaviors of the patients/residents/students. Promote to MHS II with $2.00/HR increase in base pay after six months.

Promote to MHS III with another $2.00/HR increase in base pay after one year.

Requirements and Skills

*Requires either an Associates degree (equivalent of 60 college credits) OR high School diploma / with equivalent to one year's experience in the human services field.

* MUST BE 21 YEARS OF AGE.

* Requires organizational, interpersonal and customer service skills.

* Ability to maintain confidentiality.

* Requires creativity, high energy and problem solving skills. Good verbal and written skills.

* Ability to work as one part of a team approach for the care of the patients/residents /students.

* Demonstrates ability to problem solve, resolve crisis situations, and maintain a calm composure under stressful situations.

Physical Requirements:

* Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

* Frequently stands, walks, kneels, reaches while working with patients.

* Requires full range of body motion including handling and physical restraint of patients.

* Ability to perform CPR and first aid.

* Ability to rotate shifts and programs, as necessary.

* Able to problem solve situations under stressful situations.

* Vision and hearing sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.
