Cedar Fair Entertainment Company is Hiring a XDS Project Coordinator Near Charlotte, NC

Overview:

The primary purpose of this position is to provide support for large-scale construction projects. It is also critical to ensure proper financial project tracking and management of park-wide drawings while maintaining regulatory compliance of all construction projects and buildings.

Responsibilities:
  • Financial Tracking: Manages and coordinates all activities necessary to control, track and audit changes in scope and/or contractual deliverables. Responsible for preparing financial capital reports, capital expense summaries and maintaining internal tracking models that are used by leadership when making strategic decisions on project status or potential changes.
  • Field work: Conducts site-walks, coordinates with vendors and contractors on-site, records progress through visuals and written reports. Takes measurements for drawings, bids, etc. as requested. Performs quality inspections, accompanies city inspectors. Provides project assessments and relays important information to associated parties. City and local government Department submittals.
  • Project Management: Updates project timeline, logs milestone dates, manages task lists, tracks status of submittals, participates in and arranges project meetings, records meeting minutes. Utilize software for scheduling (i.e. Microsoft Applications, Primavera). Participating in project close-out check-off items (i.e. warranty info, manuals).
  • Regulatory compliance: Permitting, managing files, maintaining building list, maintenance agreement procedural documentation. Processing fee requests for business tax affidavits, permits, misc. municipal items (i.e. local school district required fees). Managing compliance requirements and deadlines relating to permits.
  • Bidding: Creating and submitting Requests for Information (RFI’s) and Requests for Proposals (RFP’s). Requesting detailed change order documentation when needed. Obtaining bids for various projects, ensuring requested quotes reflect key components consistently for comparison purposes. Reviewing and recommending based on bid, budget, and needs analysis.
  • Collaboration/Planning: Vendor, contractor, corporate, and department communications and updates via e-mail, file sharing, verbal communication, etc. Coordinating and scheduling projects, visits, inspections. Sending drawings and files to necessary parties to execute required project tasks. Coordinates material deliveries.
  • Schematics: Utilizing software programs (i.e. Autodesk, Revit, Bluebeam) to create and update drawings, including as-builts, park maps, conceptual designs, mazes, etc. Converting schematics to 3-D models using. Scanning and organizing drawing files, preparing plans for project submittals.
  • Miscellaneous: Maintaining Construction Office equipment (i.e. plotter). Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization of Construction Office, documentation, equipment. Manages safety vest and hard had checkout. Asset identification. Documentation control and retention. Supports other departments with special requests, as needed and based upon availability.
Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree /vocational or technical school in Civil Engineering or related field
  • 2-4 years work-related experience
  • AutoCAD, 3-D modeling and editing software, Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, Projects, Teams, PowerPoint), Adobe PDF
