The Role
The Vice President, People Operations provides leadership to the team responsible for the development and ongoing management of people-oriented systems, policies, and processes. Reporting directly to the CHRO, this leader oversees CCS's overall People Operations strategy, designing approaches meant to improve and humanize business operations. They serve as a direct thought partner and key point of contact to a network of regional departmental managers to help ensure the successful execution of a firm-wide approach to employee relations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and enforce HR policies, oversee performance reviews, set compensation strategies, and lead a team of two HR professionals with the opportunity to add personnel
- Updating and optimizing all guiding people-oriented systems and supporting protocols, expanding HR software and technology solutions as necessary
- Manage the entire employee journey and its touchpoints through a set of coordinated HR systems and policies (e.g., performance management, annual reviews, compensation, benefits, etc.)
- Designing and monitoring employee performance improvement plans (PIPs), managing disciplinary procedures and employee terminations in accordance with established company policies and guidelines
- Analyzing key performance metrics and their evolution, such as turnover rates, time to hire, time to full productivity, onboarding length and all People Analytics
- Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local legislation in all personnel matters, including interfacing with corporate counsel
- Partnering with the HR Executive Team to effectively implement new or enhanced initiatives; this could include change management and aligning leadership, communicating effectively, assessing readiness, and providing support to employees
Candidate Qualifications
- 5-7 years of experience in HR, including managing direct reports
- Advanced knowledge of ADP or comparable HRIS/payroll provider and professional Microsoft Office Suite programs
- Strong analytic skill with an expertise in excel and other reporting platforms
- Approachable and maintains a professional demeanor in interactions with others.
- Self-starter, team player, who is highly resourceful
- Excellent organizational, project management, strategic and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly detail-oriented professional with a proven ability to effectively multitask
- Preferred experience in professional services, nonprofit sector, or similar industries

Salary Range: $160,000-$180,000
