We’re seeking a future team member for the role of a Senior Director, People Business Partner to join our People Team. This role is located in New York City, NY and is HYBRID. 

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways: 

• Experienced People Business Partner supporting a number of business areas working alongside Executive Committee member(s), Executive Platform Owners, and Practice Owners. 
• Creating and driving a strategic people agenda, aligned to the enterprise goals and objectives.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions and People Team services such as Talent Management, Organizational Design, Change Management, Workforce Planning, Talent Acquisition, and Total Rewards Planning to the business(es), ensuring coordination across geographies to ensure consistency, fairness and engagement while influencing best practices. 
• Support end-to-end implementation of activities for the People Team’s transformation book of work.
• Deliver executive-ready, high-quality work in a consumable manner.
• Ensure coordination, consistency, fairness, and engagement while influencing best practices.
• May manage a staff of professionals who provide functional expertise to assigned business within established policy and program guidelines. 

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following: 

• 10 years of progressive related experience with demonstrated knowledge of technical and legal aspects of People, minimum 4 years of supervisory/management experience.

• Comfortable leading through change and embracing ambiguity.
• Build trust and confidence by embodying an “enterprise-first” mindset and role-modelling collaboration across all of your teams.
• Ability to inspire others into action, to deliver a superior outcome for clients and the firm. 
• Strong communication and presentation skills; able to articulate complex information in a clear and simple manner to a variety of audiences.
• Consummate professional, with the ability to solution complex issues at pace.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft O365 Suite (including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint) and have experience with HR/people management systems of record (preferably Oracle).
• In a data driven industry, has strong analytical skills, is comfortable using data to influence decision making and a high attention to detail.
• Experience with project management preferred, including use of tools like JIRA. 
• Strong knowledge of and/or aptitude for operating effectively in a platform-based and agile operating model is a plus.

BNY Mellon assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $100,000 and $175,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.

This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
