Community Bridges, Inc. (CBI) is an integrated behavioral healthcare agency offering a variety of different programs throughout Arizona. CBI provides residential, outpatient, inpatient, patient-centered medical homes, medication-assisted treatment, and crisis services to individuals experiencing crisis, opioid use disorder, homelessness, and mental illness.

We are looking for a Peer Support Community-Based Outreach (CBO) for our Phoenix location who will work in conjunction as part of a multi-disciplinary team made up of a Clinical Staff and peers for clients throughout Phoenix.

The Community Bridges Inc. Community Based Outreach Peer Support Specialist (PSS) is an individual who is in recovery from substance use and/or GMH for an appropriate period of time (greater than or equal to 1 year) and provides experience, strength, and hope to individuals, their families, and significant others who are seeking help for themselves or their loved ones. The Peer Support Specialist (PSS) is responsible for responding to calls dispatched by the Phoenix Fire Alarm Room and/or the CBI Access to Care Line and is responsible for the in-field engagement of the patient, providing experience, strength, and, hope to motivate pt to seek and receive services.

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• A PSS is an individual who is in recovery from substance use and/or GMH for a minimum of 12 consecutive months
• Six weeks of behavioral health work experience, or six weeks of continuous onsite direction from a behavioral health professional, a behavioral health technician, or a behavioral health paraprofessional who has at least six months of behavioral health work experience.
• Valid AZ Driver’s license with 39-month clear MVR.
