Community Bridges, Inc. (CBI) is an integrated behavioral healthcare agency offering a variety of different programs throughout Arizona. CBI provides residential, outpatient, inpatient, patient-centered medical homes, medication-assisted treatment, and crisis services to individuals experiencing crisis, opioid use disorder, homelessness, and mental illness.

We currently seek a Peer Support Specialist (PSS) for our Phoenix Central City location.

The PSS provides supportive services to those in need by utilizing the peer to peer philosophy and meeting the patient where they are physically, mentally, spiritually, and emotionally. The PSS provides services ranging from fixed, community based outreach, street (respite) outreach, events in the community, to transports and ongoing supportive services. The PSS works in conjunction as part of the Peer Support Team.

Skills/ Requirements

• A PSS is an individual who is in recovery from AOD use and/or GMH for an appropriate period of time (greater than or equal to 1 year);
• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED
• Six weeks of behavioral health work experience or receives six weeks of continuous onsite direction from a behavioral health professional, a behavioral health technician, or a behavioral health paraprofessional who has at least six months of behavioral health work experience
• Must have valid AZ Driver’s license in good stand and able to provide clean 39-month MVR
