Systems Engineer (Mid) – Stafford, VA
POSITION: Systems Engineer
LOCATION: Stafford, VA
CLEARANCE: Active Secret Clearance Required
DESCRIPTION:
The Systems Engineer will support the coordination of systems engineering tasks and processes, as well as efforts to identify and evaluate technical solutions and system design enhancements.
Required Skills / Qualifications
·Review and advise on designs and fabrication of materiel solutions and provide written evaluation observations and recommendations of proposed solutions
·Develop, draft and review technical documentation such as: SEP, Program Protection Plan, Baselines (Functional, Allocated and Product)), Clinger-Cohen Act (CCA) packages, Technical Review Action Plans (TRAPs), and other technical, programmatic or briefing documentation
·Coordinate, support and attend various engineering reviews (e.g. Technical Reviews, SETRs, Engineering Integrated Product Team), Integrated Product team (IPT) and Working Group meetings, system demonstrations, test events, and phone conferences to prepare the systems for design, integration, testing, fielding and transition to sustainment
·Support configuration management of documentation, systems and sub-systems through preparation, review and tracking of ECPs and attend program CM review boards
·Support development, review, analysis, update, delivery, and management of technical documentation (e.g. Systems Requirements Document (SRD), System Design Document (SDD), Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), and all lower level system requirements documentation
·Support architecture management per the DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF) Version 2.02 for modifications of existing architectural products
·Familiarity with USMC Business and Tactical Systems and associated engineering processes will assist in consideration
Experience / Education
BS degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math from an accredited college/university
6 years minimum of Systems Engineering experience
Relevant work experience may be substituted for required education
Security Clearance: All personnel must have an active Secret security clearance.
