The Systems Engineer will become knowledgeable on both the weapons system and the SE processes we use to design and bring about change to the program. The work is primarily performed from our Fredericksburg, VA office with a small amount of telecommuting permitted. Some work will need to be performed on base at NSWCDD in King George, VA.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop/refine system requirements
  • Lead the development of white papers describing proposed system changes
  • Leverage approved processes and templates
  • Actively participate in engineering meetings, IPTs, Working Groups
  • Maintain engineering artifacts such as interface documents, requirements documents, HCI documents, etc
  • Review and provide meaningful comments to engineering artifacts that are in a review cycle
  • Utilize engineering tools such as MagicDraw, Cameo, DOORS, or others as they are integrated into the process
  • Conduct investigations and provide recommendations to resolve issues
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of engineering experience
  • Highly analytical
  • Clear and concise communicator
Preferred Skills & Experience:
  • Preference given to personnel with DoD acquisition experience, Cameo, and/or mature systems engineering processes similar to those being utilized by the existing team
Education: A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline OR 15 years of engineering experience is required

Clearance: A Secret Clearance is required for this position. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. ship is required to obtain a clearance.

Compensation at SimVentions is determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, education, training, security clearance, work location, skills, knowledge, and competencies, as well as alignment with our corporate compensation plan and contract specific requirements.

The projected annual compensation range for this position is $80,000 - $145,000 (USD). This estimate reflects the standard salary range for this position and is just one component of the total compensation package that SimVentions offers.
