Description

This position is located at our administration building in NE Portland. The schedule is typically Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The schedule is hybrid, working at least two days in office per week.

Job Description: FQHC Financial Analyst

Join our dynamic team as an FQHC Financial Analyst and play a crucial role in supporting our mission to provide high-quality, accessible healthcare to underserved communities.

Summary:

As an FQHC Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and providing strategic insights to support decision-making within our Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial sustainability and compliance with regulatory requirements. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the success of an organization dedicated to improving the health and well-being of individuals and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct financial analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare financial reports and presentations for internal stakeholders, executive leadership, and external partners.
  • Monitor revenue and expenses, identify areas of risk or inefficiency, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Assist in the development of financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with FQHC regulations and accounting standards.
  • Collaborate with program managers and department heads to develop and monitor program budgets, grant funding, and reimbursement mechanisms.
  • Participate in financial audits and reviews, providing documentation and analysis as needed.
  • Stay informed about changes in healthcare regulations and reimbursement methodologies, and assess their impact on financial operations.
  • Support strategic initiatives and special projects as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field required OR equivalent experience; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in a healthcare or nonprofit setting.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and financial modeling software.
  • Knowledge of FQHC regulations, healthcare reimbursement methodologies, and government funding programs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of healthcare industry trends and challenges, with a passion for improving access to care for underserved populations.
