We have fun and make real connections with one another and with the brands we serve. The Role: As an Inventory Control Lead, you are crucial to the success of the Fulfillment Center. The Inventory Lead role leads the team in executing job functions correctly, meeting performance and accuracy requirements and removing obstacles. Leads set the pace for the work, actively working with each team member to achieve individual and team success. The IC Lead works to uphold the standards of quality assurance and accuracy throughout all processes. What You’ll Do: Lead, train, and supervise employees in your area to ensure quality and accuracy while upholding the standards of Cart.com in all inventory processes Interact and communicate with individuals across various departments in the organization to resolve root causes Ensure inventory accuracy throughout the receiving, put away, and returns processes Arrive before shift’s start time to prep for distribution of workload Work in conjunction with management team to foster a team environment and help with ensuring the overall success of Cart.com Ensure all break and lunch periods are taken at prescribed times Ensure all employees punch in and out at the prescribed times Ensure all company house rules, safety practices, sanitation practices, and company ethics are always followed Who You Are: Able to work independently and in a team environment Ability to read and utilize matching skills and comprehend department/product documentation Good verbal and written communication skills Basic computer, data entry, and analysis skills Ability to operate computer systems with minimal direction after receiving training Ability to research defects and issues to determine root causes and drivers of those defects Ability to meet established standards pertaining to quantity and quality of work performed on an ongoing basis Ability to read, interpret, and effectively communicate necessary policies and procedures to others Ability to provide feedback and develop team Strong analytical, operational research, root cause, and problem-solving skills What You’ve Done: Previous WMS training Proven ability to motivate teams and manage conflict Nice to Haves: Previous Inventory experience Previous warehouse lead experience Physical Demands & Working Conditions: Able to withstand constant physical activity (standing, walking, bending, stooping over, reaching, etc.). Able to be on your feet all day Able to lift and carry up to 45 lbs. on occasion (document boxes, files, binders, and other items) Able to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time Able to work overtime Constant exposure to adverse conditions such as dust, noise, fumes, weather, poor lighting, or heavy machinery/equipment Cart.com is an equal opportunity employer.
